Astrophysics X-ray Screening X Ray Baggage Inspection System

The Baggage Inspection System is a security X-ray screening system that can be used to screen baggage for the presence of explosives, narcotics, and weapons. This system is designed to work as an extension of the existing security protocols at airports.

The system uses a high-energy projection of X-rays to detect concealed or concealed weapons and other contraband items. The X-rays are generated by an X-ray tube that is powered by radioisotope thermoelectric generators (RTGs), which convert heat into electricity. This energy is converted into a series of coherent beams of X-rays that are directed at the baggage being scanned. The RTGs use only about 1% of the energy produced by nuclear fission in a nuclear reactor, so they do not produce harmful radiation or create any radioactive waste products.

The Baggage Inspection System has been successfully tested and certified for use in commercial airline operations by several major airlines worldwide including United Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and Continental Airlines.
