Walk Through Metal Detectors (WTMDs) are commonly used by airports and other facilities that have a need for security. A WTMD is a walk through metal detector that is able to detect both metallic and non-metallic objects.

Multi zone WTMDs combine two separate sets of sensors into one single unit. This allows a single person to walk through the detector while being checked by two separate sensors. The first set of sensors will be used to detect any metallic objects, while the second set will be used to detect any non-metallic objects.

Single zone WTMDs are similar to multi zone WTMDs, but they only have one set of sensors instead of two separate sets. They are still able to check each person individually through the device without having them walk through multiple times on different sides of the machine.

The WTMD is a multi-zone and single-zone walk-through metal detector. It is used as a complement to other security measures, such as X-ray machines, to detect concealed weapons or explosives.

WTMDs are also used in airports, sports stadiums, and other large public areas to allow people who pass through them to be scanned by security personnel.

The WTMD uses a high frequency sound wave that can detect metal objects placed on your body. This is why it is so important that you wear clothing that will not trigger the detector when you pass through it.
